Cameron first tried seeing if either of his best friends Jordyn and Mitch were available. As they were his closest friends, he always thought to try them first. He sent each of them a text, but, unfortunately, both of them replied that they were busy today. Jordyn was out with her friends Maggy and Jen, and Mitch had to go to some family thing.
Since neither of them were available, Cameron looked through his contacts to see what other options jumped out. One name in particular stood out, Amy. She was a new friend of his. She moved to town three years ago, but Cameron hadn't really interacted with her until this past school year when they were in the same English class. The two had gotten to know each other a bit from working together on projects, and Cam considered her a friend.
Amy was a cool girl who shared a lot of the same interests as him, so Cam was definitely interested in getting to know her better. He sent her a text asking if she wanted to hang out and she soon replied, saying she was down. She invited him over, so he put on his black and white skate shoes, then headed out.
Since Amy's house was a bit far, he grabbed his skateboard to save some time. About a fifteen minute ride, Cameron arrived at his destination and rang the bell and was soon greeted by his friend. She was wearing a short-sleeved aquamarine top and a dark blue denim skirt. Her feet were bare, exposing her light blue nail polish, and her hair was pulled into a ponytail as usual.
"Hi, Cam," Amy said with a smile.
"Hey," he replied as he entered the house. "What's up?"
"Nothing really," Amy told him.
"Yeah, same," said Cam.
"So what do you wanna do?" Amy asked.
"I'm not sure, honestly," Cam admitted. "Whatever you want is fine."
"Okay, cool," Amy said, smiling. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
