Cameron strolled into the locker room, feeling good after his early start to the day. He dropped his backpack onto a nearby bench and unzipped it, reaching in to grab his gym clothes. As he pulled out the neatly folded outfit, something felt… off. The fabric was different, lighter and softer than usual.
Frowning, he unfolded the clothes—and his stomach dropped. Instead of his usual gym attire, he was holding a short-sleeved blue sports top and a pair of black leggings. His breath caught in his throat as he dug further into the bag, only to find a white sports bra and a pair of white panties, the latter adorned with a small bow on the front.
Panic surged through him. “No, no, no,” he muttered. “This can’t be happening.”
He had grabbed Anna’s gym bag instead of his own.
His mind raced for solutions. There was no way he could wear this—he’d never live it down. But skipping class wasn’t an option either; Coach Reynolds was notorious for his strictness. Anyone who didn’t dress out would be forced to run extra laps after school, and there was no way Cameron was staying late over this disaster.
He slammed the bag shut, glancing around the locker room for an alternative. Maybe Mitch had a spare set of clothes? Or maybe, just maybe, the lost-and-found had something he could use. Sure, it would probably smell like an old gym sock, but that was still better than showing up to class in Anna’s clothes.
The locker room door swung open, and Mitch strolled in. “Yo, Cam! Ready to dominate some dodgeball?” he asked, grinning.
Cameron let out a long groan. “Dude, I messed up bad.”
Mitch raised an eyebrow. “What now?”
Wordlessly, Cameron held up the girly outfit. Mitch took one look and immediately burst out laughing.
“Oh, man. This is priceless,” Mitch wheezed. “Please tell me you’re actually gonna wear that.”
“Absolutely not,” Cameron shot back, stuffing the clothes back into his bag. “But I don’t have any other options.”
Mitch smirked. “Well, Cam, you could always check the lost-and-found. Who knows? Maybe there’s something in there that’s only slightly worse than this.”
Cameron sighed. It looked like his only choices were wearing Anna’s clothes—including the undergarments—or risking whatever horror lurked in the lost-and-found bin.
