"How about we play a video game?" Christina suggested.
"What, really?" Cameron asked, surprised. He used to play games like Smash Bros. and Mario Kart with his sister back in the day, but she grew out of it as she got older, getting into sports, as well as girly things.
"Sure," Christina said. "Why not? I bet I can still beat you at Mario Kart."
"I bet you can't!"
"Let's test that, then," Christina said. "I'm so confident that I'll make an actual bet. Let's do a Grand Prix, 150cc, whoever loses has to do whatever the winner wants for a whole week."
"You're on!" Cameron agreed.
The two then hooked up Cameron's old Wii, which he hadn't used in a while, and fired up Mario Kart Wii. Jumping right in, Cameron got an early lead, winning the first race. Christina was right on his butt, though, coming in second. In the next race, things were reversed with Christina winning, and Cameron coming in third, having been hit with Christina's red shell right at the end. The third race played out like the first, with Cameron winning and Christina coming in second.
Going into the final race, it was more or less tied. If Cameron won, he'd have three first places and would win, and because he came in third in race two, Christina would win if she won this race. Christina was quick off the starting line, getting the boost while Cameron messed it up, but Cameron got some good items and was able to catch up. Cameron built up a good lead, but Christina managed to catch up and overtake him. Cameron then closed the gap, and the two were then neck and neck going into the finish line. Cameron was starting to pull ahead, but then Christina used a mushroom she had been saving and rocketed ahead to clinch the victory.
"Yes!" Christina cheered. "I told you I could still whip your butt!"
"Okay, okay," Cameron said. "What do I have to do?"
"Oh, I've got some ideas," Christina said smugly. "And you're mine for a whole week."
"I don't like the sound of that," Cameron said.
