Now that he had taken a shower and gotten dressed, the next thing on Cameron's mind was to eat some breakfast. He headed down to the kitchen and poured himself a bowl of cereal. As he ate, he began to think about what he wanted to do today. It was a lovely summer day and he didn't need to worry about school or anything. He could just relax and do whatever he wanted.
Before Cameron decided what to do with his day, though, he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He pulled it out and saw that he had received a text from his best friend Jordyn.
It said, Hey remember that con I said I was going to today?
Yeah? Cameron replied.
Turns out I've got an extra pass. Wanna come with? Jordyn quickly responded.
Oh sweet, really? Sure, Cameron told her.
Great! Can u come over now?
Sure. What for?
Just come over.
I'll be right there. Just gonna finish breakfast.
Cool. See you in a few. :)
When the conversation ended, Cameron quickly finished eating his breakfast, then put on his black and white skate shoes and headed out. He walked next door to Jordyn's and rang the bell.
Jordyn soon answered the door. "Hey!" she said excitedly.
"Hi," Cameron greeted her. "What's up?"
"Well, I was going to cosplay at the con," Jordyn explained as she led Cameron to her room.
"Right," Cameron nodded, knowing his friend liked to do cosplay and was quite good at making costumes. "And?"
"Well, the thing is, I have this extra costume that sort goes with mine..." Jordyn admitted, trailing off as they entered her room. "And, well, I was kinda hoping you'd be willing to wear it."
"Oh, I see," said Cameron. "Uh ... maybe?"
"What do you mean maybe?"
"Well, it depends on what the costume is."
Jordyn smiled. "Let me show you." She motioned to her bed, which had a costume laid out on it. Cameron took a closer look and his eyes went wide with surprise.
