The delivery boy was quite a sight to see. He was about Kiba and Naruto's age, maybe a bit older, and he was panting, exhausted. A comically large box was strapped to his back. It looked like it could hold a refrigerator. Either way, Kiba helped him get the box off, with Naruto following suit. The box was insulated, and it wasn't even warm to the touch. Either way, Kiba and Naruto lugged the box into the house, gently placing it on the floor in front of the couch. Since he had quite a bit of money because he hadn't been spending it on food, Kiba gave the delivery boy a hefty tip, with the latter grinning from ear to ear at the sight.
The box in question had a large seam on top. Kiba, knowing what to do, unlocked two flaps on the top of the box, then opened up all four flaps, revealing the broth-laden goodness inside. The bowls of ramen were about the size of Kiba's head. They were made of Styrofoam, and the flavor of the ramen inside was displayed on the side. Each bowl had a seal on top, much like pre-made ramen, except it was sealed fresh instead of dried. On top of the seal was logo for Ichiraku's on top, and Teuchi's signature on the bottom. Since Kiba didn't specify a flavor, Teuchi just made plenty of each flavor for the three.
While Kiba and Naruto immediately picked their flavors, Naruto picking miso pork, and Kiba picking beef, Akamaru laid down in front of them, waiting for Kiba to put down a bowl. Afterwards they plopped down on the couch, and they ate at a moderate pace (for them, at least), moaning a bit from the Ichiraku's flavor. Akamaru then said to Kiba I'm not really that hungry, Kiba. You didn't have to get me so many bowls. Once I'm finished, you and Naruto can have the rest of mine. "Are you sure buddy?" Kiba asked. I just wanna watch what I eat. Akamaru replied, trying to get a subtle hint across. Kiba was oblivious, however, and he merely said, "Suit yourself!"
As the two reached their second bowls, Akamaru lagging behind somewhat, Naruto said, "It's pretty awesome that Ichiraku's delivers now! How'd you find out, Kiba?" "Ayame told me when I passed by her in the village." Kiba wasn't really lying. That was how he found out. He just found out much sooner than Naruto thinks. Either way, the two stuffed themselves while continuing their idle conversation.
