With the goal of getting Gary Oak to like her in mind, Ashley storms down the streets of Celadon City, just itching for a fight with Erika. It is her firm belief that the only way to attract his attention is to get all 8 badges, which is why it is imperative that she gets into the gym.

Arriving at the gym, Ashley flings her finger in the receptionist's face and shouts, "My name is Ashley Ketchum, and I'm here to challenge Gym Leader Erika!" Before the startled secretary can reply, Ashley marches inside.

Now, Ashley's mind has clearly been altered, but has her reality changed too?
