Before the good guys could exit the floating fortress and resume the tournament, they had to leave the virtual world Noah trapped them in. After renouncing his evil ways, Noah agreed to help them stop his father, Gozaburo, from hacking into Kaiba Corp's systems and unleashing missiles that would engulf the world. Long story short, a mishap forced the good guys to escape the virtual world and the fortress before a satellite crash lands on the fortress, destroying everything within, including Gozaburo. However, due to a mistake on Noah's part, everybody's mind in the virtual world got transferred to the wrong bodies in the real world. They wanted to fix the problem, but time was running out, so they were forced to leave in each other's bodies. Now they just left the place, having to deal with being each other, but they were otherwise unharmed.
