Jade strolled along Nexus park lazily, enjoying the sights. She'd just moved into nexus city and some of the locals told her to go around and check out nexus park. They said it was lovely, until nightfall that was. Jade giggled, figuring they were scared of the dark or something. The sun was setting and Jade was not planning on leaving for another hour or two. The way the air felt on a late summer night was amazing... Not quite hot, but not cold either... It was always so soothing. A few minutes passed and Jade checked her watch, 8:46. Meh, she could be out here another hour or two. She had nothing going on so it was no skin off her back! Jade continued on for a bit, until she heard a bit of rustling in the foliage. "Mur?" She questioned, stopping and putting a finger to her lip. "Oooor maybe going home right now isn't such a bad idea..." Jade quickly began to turn around, only to run into a hulking figure towering above her. It seemed to be a large wolf, but it was bipedal and much taller than even the average human, standing maybe around... Seven and a half feet tall? It's maw dripped saliva onto the ground before her. Jade was filled with terror, unable to move, unable to speak. What was this ungodly creature?
The beast snarled, dripping more saliva. Then it howled, loud and high. The the beast reeled unto her, falling towards Jade, ready to snatch her up and do god knows what with.
"Eh-Ah-AHHHHHHHH!" Jade cried out, closing her eyes and turning away. The beast howl continued but was cut off shortly after. The beast whined and growled low.
"Stay down, keep right there." A low voice spoke, blunt and hard, as if the man was struggling with something.
Jade merely continued to cry in response, curled up on the ground. She heard a few blunt *WHACK*s followed by a dull thud and low growling. Soon it faded away, replaced by deep breathing.
"Are you alright Miss?"
The man from before asks, placing a hand on her shoulder. Jade shivers visibly and quite badly. She was obviously very shaken up. She opened her eyes through tears that fogged her vision and looked up. The figure looking down upon her was blurred and fuzzy but she could just make out the man, green top, black pants and... A black face? Jade rubbed her eyes some more and looked back to the man. The man had dark grey fur all over his body, only covered by a green hoodie and black pants. Seven grey, white tipped tails swung behind him. Looking further up to his face Jade found it resembled that of a... A fox? Dark green eyes in the skull of a fox mixed with that of a mans. Black hair covered one eye. The natural not warm not cool air grew cold and Jade began to shake more. Her eyes twitched and her mouth opened as if she were about to scream. Then it all stopped and she fell over, losing a grip on what was going on.
