You decide to ignore the house and rush over to the diner, praying that you find a way inside before the snow covers it. Only about half a foot of the front window is still visible above the snow by the time you make it over and its getting covered pretty fast. In a panic you smash the window with your foot and land inside on a pile of broken glass and snow. You groan in pain as your side and lower back start bleeding a little, though you had bigger problems to worry about. There was no power and the entire diner was empty. You struggle to get up in the freezing cold, but the pain from your injuries makes it difficult. By the time you manage to stand up the shattered window is completely covered in a fresh mountain of snow that was leaking into the diner as the icey storm ravaged outside. You were trapped, alone and cold, in the middle of a new ice age and stuck in a place where no one could probably even get to in this nightmarish weather. You try to look around and keep your mind focused, but the pain in your glass inflicted cuts and scratches combined with the chill soon forced you back to the floor. You tried one last time to get up, only to feel a warm numbness slowly overtake you. You closed your eyes to take a short nap... and never opened them. It would be days before an explorer would find your dead body while looking for supplies. Even in your frozen tomb it still appeared as if you were only sleeping...
