At the first game if the conference, Chiku was helping her team get ready by telling everyone their position and the strategy they will use. Before they left their school, their left fielder wasn’t able to come due to family problems. They were short a player so Chiku was forced to play despite being pregnant. She knew that a lot of balls will hit that way and will be doing a lot. She got her glove and went to her position. The game started and Chiku didn’t get a lot of action.
“How are you holding up Chiku?” Mae asked.
“I’m doing well. Just as long as we keep me from doing too much I’ll be perfect.” Chiku replied.
They managed to pull a head in the first inning of the game with a 3-0 lead. Chiku was the 8th batter in line and got ready. When she was at bat, the pitcher pulled a fast one and aimed it right at Chiku’s belly. She willingly wants to take Chiku out of the game. She took a shot at the pregnant girl but failed to hit her. The pitcher was taken out of the game for trying to hit Chiku and a knew was put in. Chiku managed to get the ball out of the park to push the lead to 7-0. When Chiku got back to the dugout, she was worn out.
“I think you should stop playing for the game Chiku.” Mae said.
“But who will fill in for me?” Chiku asked.
“She came and will be taking her position back. Just rest and watch the game from the stands.”
Chiku went out of the field and went p to the concession stand. For some odd reason, Chiku was extremely hungry for a bunch of hot dogs and burgers. She ordered 10 of each and 3 drinks. She sat down and started to eat as she watched her team play.
