After three months, Chiku’s belly had grown to noticeable size. She remembered her mother’s warning that she will have to quit the softball team when she’s at 3 months and Chiku was about ready to do that. When she formally quit her schools softball team, they told her that she can keep her uniform and made her their coordinator instead of player. Chiku called her mother and told her the news.
“Well, if they want you to be their team coordination manager you should do it. They must really want to keep you.” Shinku said.
“I better get back to the team, we have to get ready for the upcoming conference games.” Chiku said.
She hung up and went back to the field. She watched the team practice without her as their pitcher and she wanted to be out there with her team. She settled down and opened her book and started to read. Every so often, Chiku would look up to see how the team was doing. Every time she did, the captain came in to check on her. When she did, she would feel Chiku’s belly and made sure she was in perfect health.
“Everything here is fine Mae, both me and this little one.” Chiku said.
“Good, just don’t scare me. If anything feels wrong, just let me know.” Mae said.
She went back onto the field and Chiku got on who will go where and when for the upcoming game. She made sure everyone was in a position they were comfortable in and good at. When she finished, Chiku went in to get a drink and figure out a name for her child. She decided on Asuka if it’s a girl and Jun if it’s a boy. She thought it would be weird for a boy to be named Jun but she thought it would be a great name for her boy.
