Run, Leonard, Run

"After all," Sheldon continued, "in the unlikely event that Penny does discern your humanoid form, it will go better for us if she recognises you as a former coital partner."

"Unlikely-"

"Hush. Go."

As usual, there was no arguing. Leonard squared his shoulders as best he was able, and began to run across the floor, away from Penny's feet and hopefully into her line of sight. Actually, the urge to flee from the massive form didn't prove to be that difficult; terror lent his feet speed.

Soon enough, Leonard couldn't even hear the shouted encouragement of his friends. His own ragged breathing was all too loud in his ears, and then came a heavenward gasp, and Penny's familiar voice at a vastly increased volume. Huh. Maybe Sheldon's crazy plan has worked...
