Miles is an alley cat who much like Oliver has had to survive on the streets of New Work. He's about the same height and shape as Oliver during the movie, but his colours are more gray with spots of white on it. One special thing that makes him recognizeble is a white mark on one of his chins that looks like a star.
During his daily search for food he gets drawn towards Jenny's house because of a new baked pie that rest's on the window frame. When about to take it he comes across Oliver, who can clearly see himself in Miles hard living. Wanting to help him he gives Miles some food in secret and tells him that if he wants somewhere to sleep he could live with the dog gang that took care of Oliver when he didn't have a home. Miles gets there and is first almost chased of by the dogs, but as soon that he says that he knows Oliver they all let him stay.
Over the weeks Miles goes from eating at Jenny's house to sleeping with the dogs in the boathouse, and during each day he tries to get as much food into himself as possible. Something that would make leaving Jenny's house one day to become a bit harder then before.
