Betty Barrett was volunteering at the local animal shelter. She was helping look after the dogs at the shelter and was in her element. She had always loved animals (though never to the same degree as Paloma did) and whenever possible, she would help out at the shelter or her grandmother’s farm.
“What kind of heartless person would abandon or abuse such beautiful creatures?” Betty thought to herself as a Dalmatian; a Labrador Retriever; an Old English Sheepdog; a Great Dane; an English Pointer; and an American Foxhound began licking her face. “After all, they’re so lovable!”
Unbeknownst to Betty as she stroked and petted the dogs, she was starting to turn into a dog herself.
