This choice: remained their normal size • Go Back...Chapter #7remained their normal size by: nic   Before their rapid change in size occurs, a retrospective is needed to put previously overlooked details into context. Kim and Shannon had changed out of their soccer uniforms into more casual post workout clothes before leaving the locker room. With Kim sporting form fitting purple yoga pants, a loose white t shirt and the sandals and socks combine from before, with Shannon going for a more relaxed look with grey sweatpants, a blue hoodie with just her sports bra underneath, and socks and sandals as well. Tara, just coming from one of her adventure racing events, still had her workout clothes on which consisted of black Nike running shoes, bright blue yoga pants and a matching top.
Now with a clear mental picture as to appearances, the location also plays a role into the outcome as well, which happened to be the kitchen. With it having the setup of a cabinet filled area, with a single large island in the middle, with the girls gathered around it. Kim and Shannon were sitting on the stools on the one side, with Tara standing on the other, back facing the rest of the room.
With all that out of the way, lets hop back to the present and the current predicaments of our three shrinkies.
A few second after Kim said what they were all thinking, they all started to experience the stomach clenching rush feeling like when one is on a rapidly descending roller coaster. Kim was the first to notice the changes as her feet were no longer touching the floor bottom, causing her to shift her weight on the stool, which now seemed gigantic to her. Her attention was then drew towards Shannon as the sound of much too larger sandals hitting the floor occurred.
"What the heck is happening to us and where is Tara?!" she exclaimed to the others, with her focus then shifting to where her sister was on the other side of the counter.
Unlike her sister and Kim, Tara had been standing when the effects of the Gatorade had started. Because of that difference, the shrinking seemed more pronounced on her, with her once tall brunette head poking barley above the island counter. With each of them rapidly falling to under 3 ft, their formally form fitting clothing gave the appearance of little girls wearing adults clothing.
"This is something out of a movie, this can't be happening!" yelled Tara as she vanished from Kim and Shannon's sight.
With finally falling under a 1ft tall Kim and Shannon are only able to exchange a glance before they are buried under their own clothes. When all is said and done, if one were to stumble upon this scene, they would see two piles of clothes on stools and one behind a counter, with three half drunk cups of Gatorade and notepads and pens.
After struggling for what seemed to be an eternity, Kim finally manages to crawl her way out of her shirt and bra into a daunting new perspective. The now tiny blonde is intimidated by the now massive world around her with thoughts running through her mind such as, "How did this happen?"and "I need to find the others and make sure they are okay." With ideas of how to proceed, Kim decides...  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
