Kim smiled as Tara entered the room. She had friends who didn't get along with their siblings, but that was never the case between Shannon and Tara. They weren't best friends or anything. They each had their own circle of friends. But they still got along great with each other.
Tara was a freshman at the local college, and a darker brunette than her slightly shorter sister. Like her sister, though, she was a soccer player, though perhaps not as avid one as Kim. Tara had recently discovered adventure racing, and was shifting her focus over to that sport.
"Hey, sis," Shannon said with a smile. "I found this new flavor of gatorade, and we were going to give it a new taste test."
"Sounds exciting," Tara said with a laugh. "In fact, you guys might be a little too 'fast lane' for me to hang out with."
That got a laugh from everybody, and Kim explained, "Actually, what got us intrigued was the weird advertising on the label." Kim handed the bottle to Shannon's sister, who read it out loud.
"''Guaranteed to change your mind, your ability, and your size.' That's kind of bizarre," Tara said, handing the bottle back to Kim.
"I know, right?" Kim said. "We decided to try it tonight, to see what it's like."
