Having had a not so tremendous night thanks to Ron, Hermione's stress level was beyond belief. Her shoulders ached, her back was stiff and sore, and her feet felt like she was walking through fire. As she sat on the stairs outside the main hall, she kicked off her peeptoes and started to rub her feet, but knew that she was not strong enough to get to the tender muscles deep in her arches.
Ron rounded the corner, and as he stepped towards her to aid her, she spotted Harry walking behind him. "Harry!" she called, ignoring Ron, "I need some help, please." Her voice was sad and hurt, like the pain in her feet, but she knew that it would be the perfect way to anger Ron.
Harry rushed to her side, and saw how swollen her feet had become, and reached down to gently caress them.
Within seconds, Ron had stormed off, and Hermione, getting her aching feet rubbed (though not as well as she would like, which she could definitely teach him correctly), watched as her master plan of angering Ron while at the same time being pampered relentleslly, was working magically!
