Chapter #3

Visit the Spellcrafting Shops

    by: Unknown
Wanting to learn some new spells you figure the spell shop is the best place to start. You head down a series of streets until you come across an old looking shop. A dusty sign hanging above the entrance reads "Dragonbots Charms and Incantations". As you enter the shop, an aroma of smoke fills your nostrils.

You hear the crackling of a roaring fire coming from the side of the room. A small elderly man, who you assume is the owner, is fast asleep in front of the fire. Resting in a cozy looking chair, you decide to let him sleep and start browsing through the old looking book shelves. You leaf through a book called "Alizar's book of Basic Incantations" however it fails to produce any useful information and you continue looking. You are about to leave the shop when a very old looking book catches your eye.

In small gold letters, the title "Charms and Incantations of the Ages" is written on the cover of the book. There is no author listed on the book, which is odd, even for older books. The binding of the book is frail, and the pages are worn. As you carefully turn the pages, you see that multiple pages are torn and a couple of pages are missing.

Leafing through the pages, you don't see a single spell you have ever heard of. After each spell, the pronunciation is listed, followed by any additional instructions needed to preform the spells. Unfortunately you don't see any description of the spells. Only by using the title of the spell, and a bit of testing, will you be able to figure out what the spells do.

Remembering that you are dirt broke, you start to place the book back on the shelf when an idea comes to you. Looking at the man fast asleep, and looking at the wide open door, you make a decision.

You have the following choices:

1. Steal the book

2. Leave the shop empty handed

3. Continue Browsing
