Chapter #6Meeting SG1 by: Sechs   You woke up slowly from your insconscious sleep with the sun shinning in your eyes, trying to move sended needles of pain from your open wounds to the rest of your body but you managed to move, opening your groggy eyes you looked around at your sorroundings, you were in a small clearing in the middle of a florest, you waited until your pain lessened and stoud on all fours while folding your wings, you didn´t understoud why your mother add tryed to kill you, and at the same time you understoud, it was a confusing feeling.
At the same time your instinct told you that you were in danger, you add to find shelther... and food, you thought as you heard your stomach growl, snifing the air you caught the scent of a creature that your genetic memory identified as a mouse, and it wasn´t just one or two but hundreds, at least you weren´t going to starve while still small, reaching for one of the trees you quikly climbed up to get away from possible predators after swallowing a pair of mice, you add chosen a tree that add a opening on the side, a good enough shelter until you were big enough to be safe from most predators, you noticed looking from the top of the tree a stone circle on a pedestral with some kind of round devise not far from it with a red jewel on center, you didn´t put much attention to it as you saw a bear aproaching, you hided quickly to avoid detection.

Time passed as quickly as you grew, you weren´t sure how long it add been exactly because the day and night in this world was diferent than the one of your genetic memory informed you of, so far the full moon add apeared 4 times but you add grew as much as you would in a year, althought the days seemed to be normal, by this time you add investigated most of the territory, the stone circle seemed to be some sort of portal, but instead of magic, it was fueled by the power of cience of wich your genetic memory did not posses in sufficient amount to reveal how it worked.
The creatures in your territory weren´t a threat after the first full moon, the biggest of them was some kind of cold blooded dragon that lived moustly on water, your genetic memory told you that it was a crocodile, they could reach 40 feet long, your first encounter with one ended with you having to cut your way out of his stomach, since they tended to eat small animals alive, you completely avoied lakes after that until you were big enought to hunt them back.
It was a calm night like most when you heard from the clearing were the stone ring layed a strange sound, you used your shadowind ability to hide and aproach undetected, you saw the corners of the ring light up one at the time, then with another strange sound some short of energy wave bursted forward, a small bird that was woken by the noise flew by it and dissapeared without a trace, then it settled and formed a vertical water puddle.
A few seconds afterwards something came from it, you could tell it was no animal since it smelled like metal, you keept watch as whatever it was walked around in weels with a metal eye that moved arround with a whirl sound, it looked at the red jewel devise and around, problably looking for any threats.
A couple of minutes passed and something else came from the ring, this time you could tell what it was, " Humans ?, so they do exist in this realm ! ", you thought with surprise, so far the only creatures you encountered were non-sentient ones, and you add covered a huge amount of terrain by air and land.
You examined the four of them one at the time, there was one female and tree males, one of them you noticed wasn´t actually human and carried some short of bug in its belly, and add no hair, " Seems like a good place for the beta site ! ", said the human with slight gray hair, " We don´t know that for sure, we should look for shelther for now and investigate in the morning ! ", said the female, " I agree with Carter, last thing we need his some wild animal sneaking up on us ! ", said the one that add glasses, meanwhile the bald man add placed a hand on the ground, " There seems be some kind of huge creature in the area ! ", he said as he noticed a clawprint that you made when you were smaller.
You followed them as they made their way throught the florest with the metal thing that came before them on their back´s, you looked at what they carried with interest, you add never seem the equipment they carried, nor did your genetic memory help much, they stoped near a cave that add a mad bear on the entrance, but sensing you close by he runned with his tail in between his legs, " Do you think it was scared ? ", asked Jack, by this time you add heard their names, the gray haired man was Jack and the leader, the glass man was Daniel, the female was Carter and the bald man was Teal´c.
" Yes but i don´t think it runned from us, since even when we pulled our weapons it did not run, wich means it never saw humans before and did not fear us ! ", said Daniel, " Yes i also been feeling some presence from the moment we left the Stargate ! ", said Teal´c.
" That would be me ! ", you said outloud, they raised their so called weapons at the same time they whent back to back, " Who´s there !, identify yourself ! ", asked Jack while pointing his weapon around, " When you ask me to identify myself, are refereng to my name ? ", you asked back, they looked at each other with quizzicall looks, " Yeah that would help ! ", he answered, " In that case i can´t do it, since i have no name ! ", you said in a sad voice.
They looked at each other again and asked, " Can you atleast reveal yourself ? ", asked Carter, you pondered for a few seconds in as you searched in your genetic memory how humans normaly reacted to Dragon´s, " I can !, but only if you promise not to run or attack ! ", you said, they lowered their weapons and agreed.
The second you revealed yourself they raised them again, but true to their word they didn´t attack, " Carter, are you seeing what i am seing ? ", asked Jack like trying to confirm what he was looking at, " If you are talking about the 50 foot tall dragon with red eyes, then yes ! ", she said, you stoud there for a minute, you waited for them to lower their weapons, " Thank you ! ", you said, after liting a fire in wich they sit around.
" For what ? ", asked Daniel as he sit down on a tree stump, " For staying to talk, you see i´m the only sentient creature around, atleast as far as i know, it very lonely ! ", you answered, they all looked at each other, " Aren´t there others like you ? ", asked Carter that seemed very curious about you, shaking your head you added, " Originaly i ain´t even from this realm, i came from another were Dragon´s are comum place, or atleast his what my genetic memory tell´s me ", you answered, " Genetic memory ? ", asked Jack, " I´m know as a half-breed, a creature that his half-dragon and half-human, we have the ability to inherit the knowledge of former half-breeds of our kind, so despise being young i have millenia of knowledge in me ! ", you answered.
You followed to explain how you came here, they seemed to understand it quiet well, expecially after a little magick show in wich Carter was sceptical, " But why don´t you have a name ?, didn´t your parents gave you one ? ", asked Jack, you looked at the distance and said, " I never knew my father !, and my mother... well let me show you something ! ", you said and getting up wich seemed to scare them, you turned to the side and lifted your wing showing them your scars, there were some curses from them as they saw them
" Not a minute after being born she did this !, only sometime afterwards did i understoud why ! ", you said as you returned to your place, " Within dragon´s the females are bigger and stronger in most cases, they are the queens, the only exception are the half-breeds, we get stronger and bigger then they could ever hope, so naturally we are killed the minute we are born ! ", you explained to them.
There was a moment of silence as they assimilated your words and them Jack said, " No offence, but your mother is quite the whore ! ", said Jack with clear disdain, " None taken ! ", you answered althought you never heard that word before, " Well we have to call you something since we are going to stay her for sometime ! ", said Teal´c, " I know !, how about Max ? ", said Daniel, you liked the sound of it, it was easy to remenber and sounded good.
" I like it !, yes from this day on my name his Max ! ", you said as you got up and gave a hear shatering roar, " What the bloody hell was that for ? ", asked Jack that add covered his hears, " We dragon´s tend to express ourself´s with a roar, either with happines or rage ! ", you said.
" Next time warn us before you do ! ", said daniel as he shoke his head.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
