Deciding he can get by on eating lots on his own Homer heads to the only place still open after his hours at the bar, Apu's Kwik-E-Mart. Apu, always chipper greeted Homer as he walked into the store. Grabbing as many cartons of ice cream and bags of pork rinds as he could carry Homer would eat until he felt like pulling his old mumu out of the closet. Apu rang up the order noticing how unusual it seemed even for Homer. It began to seem more and more familar as Homer came back another 5 times that week, always getting as much of his favorite ice cream flavors and extra fattening snacks as Apu could keep in stock.
Homer's crash diet had a major effect on him, he'd eat every donut left in the box when he came in every morning at work. His binge eating would continue with large orders at Krusty burger right after work before picking up a family sized take out dinner and then round out the evening with a dessert run to the Kwik-E-Mart. The massive increase in food had put on at least two pounds a day, his pants cut into his softening waist and his shirt rode up a lot more frequently.
