Chapter #7On the way by: GS96   While walking back towards the academy, the two felt a small shiver.
"Did ya feel that?"
"I did. But there is no wind. But it wasn't so bad."
"Maybe it's just me since I have no sleeves... By the way, does Chazz and Blair go to the session as well?"
"No, they don't. Since they were the last two standing in the tournament they have the day off from the session. Chazz said he needed more time anyway to get all his stuff back from when the Society of Light was still a thing. And Blair wants to get accustomed to the place since this is technically her first year here."
As the two were talking, they were now ignoring the slightly colder sensation of their skin as they lost any bits of hair that they had. Also, their shoes began to change color with faint traces of blue starting to appear on them as they began to get a tad smoother, with Hasselberry's boots more so.
"But I am amazed she picked Slifer. I would've guessed she wanted in Obelisk since it was the only dorm that had girls sleep separate from the guys."
"I am guessing because she may have a crush on Jaden."
"You thought so too? She did seem a bit clingy before... Wait, but you said she came here before dressed as a guy. Was she also like that then?"
"No, last year she had a crush on Zane. She dressed herself as a boy and then began following my brother around. But Jaden caught her when she sneaked into Zane's room and found out her true gender. Then they Dueled for having Jaden keep his mouth shut about the whole thing, as we found out she also was younger than normal to attend the academy. In the end, Jaden won and she had to go back home. But at the end, the confessed that she began to have a crush on Jaden."
"I'm guessing that made him freeze in place."
"No joke. He hadn't said a word about it for a week before he was again comfortable with the subject."
As the two were laughing a little, their footwear continued to change as the black, and in Syrus's case the yellow, were now replaced with a dark blue color. They then began to change physically. Their feet began to get daintier as their nails got trimmed and gained a thin layer of gloss. Syrus also climbed in height a little bit while Hasselberry's muscles lost a tiny bit of their definition. These changes were currently unseeable, thus the two remained unfazed by the changes.
"But you gotta admit, that the whole thing is a bit cute. I mean, Blair did come back for Jaden, didn't she?"
"Yeah... But it's also a bit sad. She is a few years younger than him, so I don't think it will work."
"Hey, you never know. Atticus always said romance comes in many shapes and forms, that age isn't important... or whatever. She may get a chance."
"Maybe..."
The subject of romance wasn't something the two would ever talk about. Especially Syrus, after the whole academy found out about his crush on Dark Magician Girl... But at the moment, the two seemed a bit interested in it. They felt something was off by the conversation, but they shook off their heads as they approached the front gates.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
