Chapter #6

Sibling Rivalry

    by: Unknown
You look at the clock and see that it is nearly ten. "Well, I should get going." You say as you pick up your book and head for the door. But just before you can grab the doorknob, the door swings open, revealing a smaller cat furry with the same fur pattern and eyes as Chloe, with her blonde hair in pigtails.

"Sis, mom says..."

She stops mid sentence when she sees you, and just stands there, staring at you. "Hello." You say, trying to break the awkwardness of her staring. "Hi." She says shyly. "Are you that Earth boy from down the street?" You nod. "Cool!" She exclaims, suddenly excited "I've never met a human before!"

"What is it Cora?" Says Chloe "Mom says it's time to go to bed, so your boyfriend will have to go home." "He is not my boyfriend!" Says Chloe defensively "And he was just leaving." Cora looks up at you with hope in her eyues "So you're available then?"

"Cora, out!"

Cora looks back at you one last time with a dreamy expression on her face, before turning around and leaving.

"That was your...?"

"My little sister, yes. I hope you weren't bothered by her. She can be a pain in the ass sometimes, and she's at that age where her hormones do all her thinking for her."

You nod. "Hey, when you said I wasn't your boyfriend, did you mean..." "Don't take it personally." Saus Chloe reassuringly "I just met you tongiht, you didn't really expect me to consider you my boyfriend just because Ms. T assigned us together, did you?" You sahke your head "No of course not." You say, though you secretly wish that had been the case.

"Well, see you tomorrow."

After you get home and ready for bed, you look out the window to see tweo big green eyes staring at you from the house across the street. "You knew it had to be Cora, and close your blinds so as to to be disturbed by the thought of her watching you in your sleep.

The next day...
