Your heart drops like a brick as you see Luke enter the diner, but you can’t help but smile when you see he has several layers of gauze wrapped around his head. Being that you were all sitting in the center of the diner, he instantly sees you, and comes towards you scowling.
“Here comes Captain Dipshit.” You whisper to Chloe and the others. “Well, what do we have here?” Comes Luke’s voice from behind you. “Everyone I hate at one table.” You turn around to face him, pretending to not have noticed him before. “Oh, hello Luke. What happened to you? Your mom crack you over the head with another whiskey bottle?”
Chloe, Ramona and Colin laugh at your remark, while Luke just growls. “I know it was you that hit me from behind, like the pussy you are. “Well, it’s a good thing you have that thick skull of yours to protect what little of a brain you have.”
After another round of laughter, you look Luke in the eyes and say “Can you prove it was me that gave you that lump?” “Who else would come to the rescue of this little skank?” Luke gestured to Chloe. As Chloe stood up to smack Luke, you step between them and glare at Luke.
“That’s it, Luke, now I really have to hurt you. I don’t give a fuck what you say about me, but insult Chloe or any of my friends, and you just bought yourself a one-way ticket to the emergency room. You, me, outside, now.”
Before you know it, you and Luke are facing each other in the alley behind the diner. “I’m going to enjoy this.” Luke says, cracking his knuckles. “You enjoy getting your ass kicked?” You say “You must really be a masochist.” Luke tries to punch you, but you quickly grab his wrist and jam your thumb into his armpit, twisting his arm behind his back.
You kick Luke behind his knee, dropping him down onto one leg, unable to do anything to fight back. You twist his arm even further as he cries out in pain. “I should have warned you,” you say “I took some self defense classes back on earth. Now, if you ever do anything to harass me or my friends again, I will personally rip your balls off and feed them to you, understand?”
Apparently, Luke didn’t understand, because his only response was “Fuck you, stupid ape.” Before you could retaliate, luke was knocked out for the second time in a week, this time by Chloe, who had come up behind you and whacked luke over the head with a trashcan lid.
“Couldn’t let you have all the fun, could I?” She says with a smile. You both dump Luke into a nearby dumpster and head back to your table. “So how did it go?” asked Collin. “Let’s just say that when Luke wakes up, he’s gonna need to bathe for week.”
The rest of your lunch went on as if the incident with Luke hadn’t happened. As you ate your food, you saw Collin looking over at Ramona as she ate her pasta. So far she didn’t mind the advances he had made on her, or did she just not notice? You wonder when Collin was finally going to make his move.
