This choice: "You're very lucky to have (your name)." • Go Back...Chapter #6Settling for Second Best by: GWriter "You're very lucky to have him, Chloe." Ramona says.
"Yeah, I figured that out not too long ago. I'm more than lucky." she says, looking at you from the corner of her eye. "Well, I should get home, I'm tired."
"Me too." says Ramona.
"See you guys around." you say to them. This was the most eventful Saturday of your life, and to make up for it, Sunday was a total bore. On Monday morning, you walk outside your souse and see Ramona waiting where she usually does.
"Hey, Ramona." you say.
"Hi." she says back. As you were about to head off to school, you see Colin come out of his house to join you two. "Hey, you guys!" he says.
"Fancy seeing you walking to school today." Ramona says.
"Why is that?" you ask.
"My sister, Eileen usually drives me to school, since she has her own car." Colin answers.
Ramona grunts in frustration. "I need my own car." You and Colin laugh when you hear a familiar voice.
"What's up, guys!"
You all turn and see Chloe walking towards you. Your heart jumped in surprise and joy, while Ramona's demeanor took a nose dive. When the four of you got to school, Chloe stops you before you go in. "Maybe you should hold my hand, so the other girls will back off."

"I have an idea." She pulls you to the main hallway, where most of the students were. The two of you stand in the middle of the hall and Chloe looks deep into your eyes. You never thought that Chloe would kiss you, right then and there. You eventually close your eyes and kiss her back. When Chloe breaks the kiss, she says that she'll see you later, and walks off to her locker.
When you go to your locker, you faintly hear the sound of crying. You turn around and see Colin comforting Ramona. "It's okay, Ramona." he says. "These things happen. I promise that you'll feel better soon." Aw shit. you think yo yourself. Ramona must've seen Chloe kissing me. When Ramona gets up and leaves, you go over to Colin.
"Is she okay?" you ask.
"I'm afraid not." he says gloomily. "I just wish there was a way that I could make her feel better." You stop and think for a second. Why would Colin word that last sentence like that. Is it possible that...
"Colin," you say.
"Yeah?"
"You like Ramona, don't you." you say, with a smile on your face.
