This choice: a member of the batfamily • Go Back...Chapter #6Stephanie Brown, the Spoiler by: Syzygy "Hey Batgirl, what's going on here?" Stephanie Brown, the Spoiler, salutes her friend. A smile appears on her face after seeing her friend. "Anything new happen?"
Batgirl goes into a shock. "What? Another Batgirl? What is this, a carnival?" She then readies herself in fighting off this doppelganger. Just who is this girl?
Stephanie frowns at Cassie's words. "Oh come on, you know me. I'm Spoiler again. The upbeat heroine ready to take on anything!" She then strikes a power pose, showing how serious she is. Her enthusiastic personality confuses Batgirl.
Pam doesn't want anything to do with her. She clenches her fists and takes a few steps back. "Get away from me! I don't need to deal with another problem today!" Just great, another 'hero' ready to ruin my day, Pam thought.
Spoiler doesn't understand. Why is her friend acting so weird? "What's wrong? We can talk about this." Stephanie walks closer to Batgirl, hoping to comfort her and get answers.
Ugh, such the hero being all goody-goody while making all the other villains look bad, Pam thought. She just can't stand these types of people. It's just irritating! "You know, having another member of the bat family was just what I wanted. After all, it was just the thought I was having the moment I was making my plans. I was all like 'Gee, I sure hope another Batgirl appears. Maybe it will help ruin my plans better'" she says sarcastically. "Don't you have something better to do?"
Worried, Stephanie says to her "Batgirl, don't you remember me? You're the one who helped me get back on my feet to be a part of the bat family. You were the one who inspired me to be better than the person I was before." She points and looks away from Pam in Cassie's body. Deeply hurt, she turns around, trying to hide her sadness.
This strange act gets to Pam. She never intended for this person to get shaken up about it. It's just she doesn't know what's going on. Now it's her fault for unintentionally making some sad.
Pam doesn't trust or like the bat family, yet she realizes that this one holds no anger or intent to attack within her. For some reason, she can just tell by her movements. Despite Pam knowing that the bat family is her enemy, she feels strange in that she can place her trust in the other Batgirl before her. Perhaps if she plays along, she might get answers. Who knows, the two might become good friends. Deciding to give it a try, Pam walks over to Cassie. "I'm sorry, friend. I just don't know what came over me". Steph looks away from Batgirl, still depressed due to Cassie's actions. "You know" Pam starts, "we could..." indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
