This choice: Check in on one of the other poker players • Go Back...Chapter #8Check in on one of the other poker players by: Mr. Scratch Jeremy's morning was not as strange as Michael's but still different than the usual mornings he had. From the beach pictures he had on his desk he discovered that it was normal for him to shave his legs. No wonder considering he now had Anna's legs.
The second shaver in the bathroom his sister and he shared made that obvious as well. Therefore it was quite a morning for Jeremy when he tried to shave his legs after his shower. Anna would go on rage if she would see her legs now with some minor cuts.
Even stranger was the conversation his mother had with his sister while the two were eating breakfast.
"Jack really is no good association for you.", Jeremy's mom began while dropping your breakfast infront of you. "He's 4 years older and all he thinks about is fooling around. You should break up.".
Jeremy had to smile by the thought of it. Yesterday Melody was the innocent, lovely daughter without a boyfriend and now she had one older than herself who is, according to his mother, a good for nothing.
"But mommy, I er love him.", Melody tried to play along. She did not really know who her boyfriend was, neither did she met him but apparently her mother did not like him. On one hand, Melody was excited because her life was now a bit different, in the interesting way. On the other hand she was afraid of how her boyfriend was.
"You don't even know what love is! You're too young!", their mother continued, stemming her hands at her hips and looking serious at Melody. "When I was your age I didn't even thought about dating guys!".
Jeremy who had enough of this conversation, grabbed his toast and stood up. "Come on Melody, we have to hurry.". Melody nodded thankfully. "Okay, have fun at school kids. But don't think this conversation is over, young lady!".
Outside Melody looked thankfully at Jeremy. "Thanks big brother. This conversation is kind of... disturbing...", she said looking down exhausted. "I'm really afraid of coming home...".
"Don't worry little sis. I'll try to help you if I can. Maybe having a boyfriend isn't so bad for you.", he said trying to cheer her up. She nodded hesitantely. "Maybe...", she began but was cut off by a honk.
Suprised the two looked at where the noise came from. On the street was a car and the window was down. Inside the car was a maybe 17 year old boy with short black hair. "Hey babe. Shall I give you a lift?", he asked looking at Melody.
"I think that's your new boyfriend.", Jeremy whispered in his sisters ear. She looked at Jeremy, unsure what to do. "Let him give you a ride.", Jeremy continued whispering to her. "I don't think he'll do something to you and you should try to act as if this is normal.".
Melody nodded and looked at the boy in the car. She nodded nervously. "Yeah... thanks... er... honey?", she said softly, slowly walking towards the car. She entered it on the passengers side.
The boy looked at Melody and bend over planting a kiss on her lips. "Slept well, babe?", he asked her. Melody nodded slowly. She was too surprised. She just got her first kiss from some guy she had not met until a few moments ago. "Good.", he smiled cocky and drove off.
Jeremy meanwhile, looked the car drive away. "Well, I should continue.", he mumbled rubbing the cuts on his legs which he hid under his pants. They still hurt a bit but lucky enough nothing too serious he could not bear. After all they were just minor cuts. Slowly, like all his sister did this morning, he walked to school. | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
