After Dan fixed his clothes back up they left the theater. The ride home was very quite, Dan not knowing what to say. There were so many questions that he wanted to ask but he just could bring himself to vocalize them. Did he really want to know what he did on stage to get such a big reaction out of the audience? Was hypnosis real? He always thought it was just something to part stupid people with their money. Maybe it was better not to know and just try and forget any of this happened. Still, he was left troubled.
He hardly noticed when they arrived back to their apartment, his head still feeling a little off. Scott plopped down on the couch and turned on the TV while Dan started to get ready for bed. After changing into his night shirt and pajama pants, Dan walked into the kitchen to fix himself something to eat. He grabbed a beer and made a simple ham and cheese sandwich. When he sat down to eat it, he just didn't feel hungry anymore. Thinking that maybe he was getting sick or something, he got up to put the food back into the fridge but found himself walking up to Scott and handing him the sandwich and the beer. Scott looked Dan up and down with a slight confused expression.
“I decided I wasn't hungry,” Dan said as Scott took the food.
“Thanks,” Scott said as Dan turned away to go to bed, wearing one of Mandy's left over camisoles and her pink pajama bottoms.
