You enter the mall and it is crowded, you realize that you can’t just eat someone in public or even try. Sure your mind tells you that you want to eat someone, but can you really eat a person? Sure you are hungry enough, but you’re no damn cartoon, eating people isn’t possible, or is it?
As your mind wanders your eyes find the food court and your mind catches up with what it sees. A burger should do the trick right?
When you get to the counter you find that you don’t have to wait. Funny seeing as the mall is crammed full of people. Not questioning your luck any further you surprise yourself with ordering the largest burger they have and a big Sprite to top it off.
Soon you have your meal and even a table of your own to sit down and dine at. As you sit there you think about what the odds should be of you ever having such luck again, no queue to wait in and finding an unoccupied table right away.
You wake from your line of thoughts as you find yourself licking the crumbs of your fingers. “Huh? I guess I was as hungry as I thought.” You think to yourself and with little effort you down the large drink too.
Just as you toss the garbage away your mobile phone rings. It’s Kate you realize as you pick it up.
“Hi where are you?”
“I’m at the mall, but I don’t feel like shopping.”
“Get your ass over to my place then, I got the whole house to myself!”
You hang up and make your way to Kate’s house. The hunger you felt earlier seems to have slipped from your mind. Had you given it a second thought you’d realize that you were still hungry, but it wasn’t painful any more, but more like a craving.
As you walk up the stairs to Kate’s front door you have forgotten about the way you felt only half an hour ago.
