Applejack wakes up in time to fight the Nightmare!

Applejack wakes up.
Applejack was calmly sleeping under a tree when she had a dream. The formless Nightmare was slowly creeping upon her. It perked it's head up like a snake in it's striking pose. As it was about to strike Applejack opened her eyes because she was scared of what happened in her dream. She screamed and kicked. The Nightmare was hooved in the face, if it had one, and and fell backwards. Applejack shook her head and saw the Nightmare.
She didn't quite know what she did but she recognized the Nightmare. She said, "What in tarnation is going on here?" The Nightmare got up and saw Applejack now fully awake. It knew that it couldn't overtake her when she was awoke so it quickly left before Applejack could do anything to get rid of it for good.
