Looking around the restaurant you ponder. Perhaps this was a bad idea?
Again you look at your watch, but yeah. You're early. Admittedly you still thing this date is a little odd. Normally on a first date people don't actually meet in the restaurant, more go there afterwards? But... the pic had looked so cute, and the chat you'd had on your phone after you shared details had seemed really sweet. She... Uh. It was gonna be a guy or something weird wasn't it? You were going to make a fool of yourself!
Why did you go for this? I mean, sure, you'd love to actually be with a girl but... your luck so far hasn't been that great.
"Oh... Sam?"
You blink, turning and... oh. She is cute... and small. She looks barely four and a half foot tall, curly, short brown hair in a nicely swept style, wide glasses and that same cute smile you saw before. Why didn't she have glasses in her pic? They make her look really pretty. You can't help but briefly let your eyes slide down, and she fills out her yellow, sleeveless, floor length dress really nicely. It's a bit much for a simple date/meal like this perhaps, but very nice to look at.
"Uh Yeah. Milly?" You respond, hastily snapping your eyes back up. Yeah, don't embarrass yourself!
She blushes, briefly looking at the floor before meeting your eyes again.
"Heh, yeah. Um, am I late?"
"Oh no! I tend to be early. For things." You wince. Yeah, smooth move Sam! "Uh... just don't like being late or missing stuff."
"Sound policy." She says, nodding as she pulls the chair out and sits down opposite you. Wait, should you have helped her into her seat? Oh, you are so bad at this.
The two of you seem both a little nervous about the whole thing. Odd since she didn't seem like it in the texting you'd done. Though she was slow texting. Maybe she just edited out her nerves before sending? You both get some soda, order the meal (oddly both of you getting the steak. She wasn't trying to copy you was she?), then wait finding it awkward to find something to talk about.
"So... Uh, this is my first time." Milly says, nervously tracing a finger around the rim of her glass. "I mean, dating in general. I... Uh..."
You can't bear to see her this awkward.
"Heh, yeah. Me too. I never did get out much."
She blinks and stared up at you.
"Oh. You too?" She giggles. "I just have no clue. I mean... what do we do? Uh, beyond the meal I mean. Uh, if you wanted to. I mean if you'd rather just leave it at the dinner I'm fine."
Oh boy. Uh, you hadn't planned anything after.
"S... sure. I'd like to hang out. I have no clue what. Might be a bit late to plan something." You pull your phone out. "Not sure what movies are playing at the moment." You glance up at her. "Though I don't know what kind you like."
"Oh, um. Honestly never was that keen on going to the movies. Usually just watched things at home on TV." She blushed. "Not that good in public. I mean, around people. Plus the few movies I've been to it's been kinda... dirty."
You sighed.
"Yeah. Know what you mean. I have a fifty inch TV anyway so... not that much advantage to the movies."
"Oh, you do? That'd be fun."
You blink again, twice. Is she asking...?
"You... wanna watch stuff at my place?"
Abruptly she blushes, realizing what she said.
"Oh, sorry. Didn't meant to embarrass you."
"Uh, no. It's not embarrassing. I just didn't think you'd want to. You know, first date and all."
She pauses, glancing up at you a couple of times before staring at her glass as she replied quietly.
"Actually, would you be freaked out if I did? I mean, come to your place?"
You smile.
"No... not at all. I just worried it'd make me look like... well, you know."
She blushed at that, but smiled.
"I wouldn't think that." She murmured quietly.
Oh, you two are a pair aren't you? You almost laugh, realizing the both of you are just so embarrassed over this. Uh, she obviously wants to be with you, you don't really know why, but lets assume she actually does like you. You could try to see what happens? Right?
"OK, sure. I don't mind." You say, just as the waiter shows up with your food.

"Here we are." You say, after coming out of the elevator, motioning to the door opposite. "Home sweet home."
She giggles as you open the door and wave her in.
"Thank you." She says demurely and walks in.
"Sorry about the mess, I had no idea I'd be getting company." You manage, seeing a T-shirt draped over the arm of your Lay-z-boy, the dishes still not done in the kitchen side of the main area... yeah, not ideal.
"Oh, trust me, better than my place." She giggles. "I keep putting off the laundry. A lot." Then you see her eyes go wide. "Oh, you weren't kidding about the tv!"
Ah, yeah. Not that big LED screens are that expensive now. Though you did get it on a sale.
"Heh, yeah. I admit it's nice to relax in front of."
"Do you have the Princess Bride?" She said, then blinked. "Uh, I mean, if you don't mind?"
Unable to resist you bow deeply.
"As you wish."
She giggled at that and you got the DVD out. Well, anyone who likes the Princess Bride can't be all bad, right?

Snuggling on your ratty sofa, watching Wesley storm the castle, Milly pressed tightly into your side, it just felt so right. I mean, you were six foot, she was practically two thirds your height, but still it just was so wonderful, feeling the warmth of her against you, her head occasionally on your shoulder. She wasn't a buxom beauty admittedly. She had the curves definitely and was cute, but perhaps you'd seen too many over the top women on... well, certain websites you wouldn't want your boss to see you perusing! She was, well, lets say 'normal but well formed.'
"Mmmm, thank you." She murmured as the credits rolled by. "It's been a while since I saw this. Always good."
"Definitely." You say, unable to resist stroking her hair, her cheek nuzzling against the side of your shoulder.
