After dark fell on the Watterson's cabin, the family went to sleep in their respective cots (except Darwin, of course, who always sleeps in his fishbowl). However, one member could not sleep, and decided to grab a flashlight and venture outside. That member was Nicole Watterson, the hardworking mother and wife of the family.
Truth be told, Nicole had a bad feeling of what was behind the sign, which was why she kept a close eye on the family during the day to make sure no one snuck off to go exploring. However, she was a cat, and was very curious as to what the sign was hiding. Nicole carefully went outside of the cabin, being sure not to wake any other members up, and slowly creeped up to and past the sign. Nicole looked down at the fragments of the tree she knocked off, but instantly became confused. This doesn't look right... Thought Nicole. The bark did not look like it was from any tree she had seen. In fact, it looked more like...
Nicole picked up a fragment of the tree bark from the ground.
"I'm going to regret this, aren't I?" she said, as she closed her eyes, and took a bite out of it. Nicole opened her eyes wide - This tree bark was not bark at all, it was Peanut Brittle! (Really good Peanut Brittle, too.)
After realizing that she was right in her guess, she realized that tree trunks made of peanut brittle probably weren't the only things that were different in this area. Upon closer inspection, she discovered that everything that looked natural was actually a form of candy! The dirt and rocks were actually chocolate, and the grass and leaves were somehow ground coconut that was colored green. There was a nearby mountain range that was made of dark chocolate, with whipped cream peaks. There were flowers that were actually lollipops, and there was even a river that was flowing blue icing!
After finding all of this out, Nicole pinched herself just to make sure she wasn't dreaming. The pinch definitely hurt, and she was still in a field of candy. Realizing what she had just stumbled upon, Nicole decided to...
