Tiffany swept her hair behind her ear with a gauntleted hand as she passed through the ever growing crowd of con attendees. Though the air conditioners at the convention center were clearly on, there were just too many people to keep it cool on the summer day. The water stations set up by the convention center staff were crowded everywhere she turned.
After wandering the halls for several minutes, Tiffany managed to find a plastic jug of water on a table at the other side of the convention hall. She made a beeline over and noticed the jug was mostly empty and there were no cups around. However, the only people around were stretched out on the floor staring at their phones.
With a shrug, Tiffany whispered, "Guess it's mine then" and picked up the jug. She opened the spigot over her mouth and drained the rest of the water, gulping quickly. It felt almost too cold on the way down her throat but that cool sensation seemed to bypass her stomach and flow through her limbs as she cooled down.
"Oh God that feels good," she murmured as the last drops flowed onto her tongue. She almost caught herself letting out a small moan and thought 'What the hell was that? It's just water!'
She replaced the jug on the table and wandered back to the convention's exhibit hall. She didn't notice the sign on the bottom of the jug indicating it was experiment 72-Theta the cleaning staff had found leftover from last week's chemistry symposium...
