You work as a stocker.

You make your way further into the back of the store. A new delivery had come in that morning and you had been tasked to unload the pallets. Looking over what had come in, you try to decide what to unload first.

There was clothing, books, some new technology. It was almost like a treasure hunt, but not really.

I greeted some of my coworkers who had started before me. Some of them were waiting down the last few minutes of their shift in the corner, trying to look busy.

I grabbed a box. The income and in-store discount were too important. I needed to get to work.
