I looked despondently in the direction of my clothes. Alicia had thrown my skirt and my shirt into the far corner of the room where I couldn't reach them. Lying on my back, I wanted to cry.
Then, my cell phone started ringing in my purse. I couldn't reach it either, and I couldn't muster up the strength to stand up to Alicia to try and answer my phone. It continued to ring, the usual ringtone failing to provide the usual comfort it would. The phone stopped ringing.
"All right, Erica," Alicia exclaimed. "Let's finish this and then get back to studying." She reached for my panties and grabbed the waistband to pull them down my legs. Just as she started pulling, her cell phone started to ring. Her head turned in the direction of her phone and she made some kind of unintelligible noise in exasperation.
She let go of my panties and stood up, stalking towards the table in a huff, and answering the phone without checking the caller id. "What?" she demanded.
