This choice: Fontina soon learns just why Blaire is so big, this girl can EAT! • Go Back...Chapter #6Breakfast and berries by: Logan   (Author's Note: I just want to point out that, in the last chapter, the author said that Fontina took a bite of a Wacan berry, and, in the chapter before that, the author said that the berry in question looked like a blue apple. That's not what a Wacan berry looks like. Wacan berries look like this http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/W... The berry the author was describing was a Yache berry, which does look like a blue apple http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Y... So, instead of incorrectly referring to the berry Fontina ate, I'm going to refer to it as a Yache berry. Problem? Bite me. Also, I feel I should say that a Lax Incense does not make its holder lazy; it makes it easier to dodge attacks in battle. But, I digress.)
As Fontina watched her big sister eat, she figured out exactly how the Flareon got so big; she ate like there was no tomorrow! If Fontina didn't know any better, she'd have thought that the girl sitting beside her was just a Snorlax in disguise. Whatever food was in front of her vanished in less than 10 seconds.
"So," the curvy Vaporeon said, trying to start a new conversation, "what exactly was that berry I ate?" Blaire looked at her sister and chuckled. "Are you STILL worried about that? Let me ask you something; if a berry would cause harm to any student at this school, why would we be allowed to have within 50 ft. of the building, let alone in the kitchen?" Fontina put a hand to her chin. "I... guess that makes sense. Still... would it kill you to at least let me know a little bit about it?"
Blaire playfully patted her little sister on the back and said, "Alright, you win. It's called a Yache berry. If you eat it, it cuts the damage of one super-effective Ice-type move in half. There are 18 berries like that in total; one for each type of move, even Normal-type moves." "Wait," Fontina said, "Normal-type moves aren't super-effective against anything; they can't devastate an opponent." Blaire chuckled again. "Oh, trust me, I saw a Delphox boy take a Giga-Impact in gym class during my freshman year; that is so not true." Fontina cringed at the thought of seeing someone get hit with a Giga-Impact.
"Anyway," Blaire continued after finishing a mouthful of muffin, "apparently, those kinds of berries only taste good if you have a weakness to those types of moves... generally, anyway; there are a few exceptions here and there." She was about to put what she thought was a strawberry into her mouth, but stopped when she noticed that it was actually a Chople berry. "Oh, here's one of those berries. Here', I'll show you what I mean." She then turned her head to the kitchen. "Margaret!" She shouted.
A few seconds later, a rather pudgy-looking Weavile girl walked up to Blaire and Fontina. "Yes, Ms. Blaire?" The Weavile girl asked. "Well, Margaret," Blaire started, "I'm explaining to my little sis how these types of berries work. You know, the ones that weaken super-effective moves?" Margaret nodded. "And I just so happened to find a Chople berry here with my breakfast," Blaire continued. "I was telling her about how these berries generally only taste good to someone if they have a weakness to such types of moves. Would you like to help me demonstrate?"
She handed the Chople berry over to Dark-Ice type girl who happily ate it. "Yummy," Margaret said, rubbing her chubby belly. "That's all I needed, thanks," Blaire said with a smile as Margaret went back to work. "Now then, where were we? Oh, that's right." With that, the two eeveelutions resumed their breakfast.
After about 20 minutes, both girls finished their breakfast and rubbed their overfed bellies. "That was good," Fontina said. "I just hope I don't put on too much weight from all that food..." Blaire laughed and patted her sister on the head. "Now, don't worry your pretty little head about how you look. You're beautiful no matter how big you are. Hell, I think you'd look great being even bigger. Imagine how good you'd look if you were as big as me!"
Fontina's grew wide at that idea. Strangely, she didn't know how to feel about it: on the one hand, she wasn't very happy about being as chubby as she normally was, so the thought of being bigger scared her a bit; on the other hand, Blaire seemed to enjoy her size - which was likely to increase after she finished digesting the mountain of food she had just eaten - and wore it very well, so maybe she'd look pretty good too.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
