It was a cool, crisp morning at Gijinka Academy, the sun was barely even rising over the island designed academy. Most of the students were still sleeping in the dorms that sat parallel to each other, however there were a few students who were up at this hour (like the energized Jolteon Moemon that was running laps around the school grounds). The main building itself was as dark as the night, save for a few lights that were on and showed that there was activity going on in the building.
One light belonged to the library, where only one figure was inside, with a large amount of books surrounding her.
“Oh literature… You truly are the best way to wake up in the morning.”
The library itself was quite impressive, with two floors of shelves that contained a near unlimited number of books that lined the walls and stand up shelves. Famous works, student papers, and even a section of manga (courtesy of a familiar Dragonair Principal) – whatever your taste in genre and need of references, you could find it here.
At the front desk, there were several large piles of books atop of the desk. And seated behind the piles of books was the rumored ‘Blue Rose of the Library’ – one Vaporeon Moemon known as Fontina with a book in her hands. She was a young blossoming woman, with short blue hair that was pulled from her beautiful, glasses-wearing face. She was dressed in a white blouse with a long blue skirt that went down to her ankles, and her clothes hugged onto her ample curves, showing off her hourglass figure in the works.
As she read the book, Fontina sighed to herself, her mind placing her in the place of the main heroine in the story… Being swept up into the arms a handsome, and rugged Lucario Moemon with a muscular body dressed in thin blue clothing that exposed a lot of muscular, tanned skin with his long black hair billowing in the wind.
Fontina’s heart began to beat faster and faster as her mind began to picture her face growing closer and closer towards the Lucario moemon’s face, their mouths only inches away from each other…
She could almost feel his warm breath caressing her lips…
“Good morning Ms. Fontina.”
Fontia snapped out of her fantasy, throwing the book in her hands up into the air, “GARGH!”
“… Daydreaming again?”
Fontina’s face was a bright crimson as she realized that standing in front of the desk was a relatively handsome older man, dressed in a bright red leisure suit. He had tanned skin and bright, golden blonde hair that was tied back into nine long pony tails that he had a few draped over his shoulders while others were left to hang freely behind his back. The man raised an eyebrow behind his red tinted glasses at the sight of the younger woman’s flushed face. “Sorry for scaring you Ms. Fontina…”
“N-Not a problem, Mr. Sunny!” Fontina yelped as she bowed slightly towards the Ninetails Moemon that stood before her. “I… I just got caught up in the… Heat of the moment.”
“We all have those moments, Ms. Fontina,” Mr. Sunny chuckled as he held up a book. “Besides, I’ve known you for about three years now Ms. Fontina, as your Vice Principal, I know what makes you tick.”
Indeed, Mr. Sunny was the current Vice Principal of this fine Gijinka Academy, he was set to become the principal this year… But…
“Uh, r-right,” Fontina muttered as she rubbed the back of her head. “So, c-can I help you today Mr. Sunny?”
“Nah, just hoping to get some quiet time before I have to deal with the new headache of a principal,” Mr. Sunny growled loudly as he crossed his arms. “He’s got a lot of problems to him and he seems to be underestimating the job. And frankly… With freshman orientation going on today… Gagh. I picked a good time to give up cigarettes.”
“Well, sir,” Fontina chuckled nervously. “We can only hope that he’ll be good…”
“Yeah, fat chance,” Mr. Sunny sighed loudly. “In any case, thanks for taking the librarian position… I guess it beats hanging around the dorms during the first two class periods.”
“I enjoy this work,” Fontina answered back, smiling at the books around her.
“Well, keep up the good work then,” Mr. Sunny replied as he began to walk away.
Fontina sighed in relief, Mr. Sunny was normally a nice person, but ever since he learned that the principal position was given to a ‘Don Tanner’, he seemed to be a bit more on edge recently.
‘Where’d the book go?’ Fontina questioned as she looked around, trying to find the book she had just thrown.
