"Hoo-wee!" came an enthusiastic call, making Twilight look up. She had walked literally dozens of steps, and was quite out of breath. She looked up to see an extremely round orange earth pony standing next to an apple tree laden with fruit. This earth pony looked to be all belly, her wide-as-a-barn-door sides forming a smooth curve with her wobbly belly. Her bag legs were much thicker than her front, a clear mix of muscles and fat, and her freckled cheeks were the size of the apples on the tree. As Twiligth watched, the pony stood beside the tree, and with a heave slapped her belly straight into the trunk with such force that apples rained down into carefully placed barrels. Twiligth approached with caution, slightly awed by the display of girth put to use.
"Ahem, hello there, my name is Twilight Sparkle and-"
"Why howdy there Twilight, good to meet you!" the earth pony trotted up to Twilight, showing to be much more mobile than Twilight would've expected of a pony her size. She grabbed Twilight's hoof in a overly hearty shake. The resulting quake of pony flesh was absolutely obscene. It seemed to go up Twilight's body before going down, and her chins alll began to sway at their own rhythm. Her cheeks nearly blinded her as they bobbed up and down. But then the quake went down to the rest of her. Her front jiggled against her neck, her foreleg fat against her sides, her belly against <i>everything</i> and her rump quaked against her back legs. She actually fell over - all of two inches or so before her belly hit the ground. She took a seat and tuned back in to the pony blabbering at her. Her name was Applejack apparently, and something about being friends?
"Umm, actually, I'm just here to check on the food." Twilight explained. Applejack's eyes lit up, and she trotted to a triangle suspended on a pole, giving it a great ring.
"Soup's on everypony!" Applejack hollered. "Let me introduce you to the family." she turned to Twilight. What proceeded next was the largest procession of bellies Twilight had ever seen. The Apple family apparently prided themselves on being the best "applebumpers" in Equestria, able to knock down all the apples in a tree with a single swing of their gut. Twilight had never seen any such thing at Canterlot... maybe there was something to this Ponyville.
"...Big Macintosh, Granny Smith, and Applebloom." Applejack finally finished, pointing to a little yellow filly who was clearly already well on her way to being a prime applebumper. Still, a number of these farm ponies had come straight from the field, and, well, smelled.
"Well, I can see the food situation is in order..." Twilight said, looking around at the admittedly delectable treats many of the ponies carried. "I really should get going."
"Aren't you going to stay for lunch?" The little filly asked. Twilight hesitated, but her belly reminded her that she hadn't eaten since she had left Canterlot, and that had been nearly an hour ago!
"Well, maybe for just a little..." Twilight replied, gathering a hurrah from the gathered family.

"Boy, mph, Twilight, y'sure know how to eat!" Applejack said with her mouth full, crumbs spilling from herr mouth. Lunch had lasted for about two hours now, and while most of the family had gone back to work, she and Twilight were still stuffing their gullets like there was no tomorrow. Twilight had never met anypony who could keep pace with her before. Applejack sure was a messy eater though, nothing like the refined company Twilight had been forced to endure in Canterlot. So she had decided to likewise let loose a little, and crumbs now littered the top of her belly. The two obese ponies sat back from their table, and as Applejack clutched her belly she let out a huge belch.
"Ahh. Y'sure are a barrel of fun, Twi." Applejack slapped a friendly hoof on Twilight's back, triggering a crumb-filled burp to erupt from the unicorn. Applejack just gave her a friendly grin. Twilight blushed a little, but had to admit, not only had the lunch been delicious, but this pony's attitude was as unusual as it was enticing.
