“Man, I’m so thirsty, probably because I’m feeling nervous!” Shoto thought to himself as he continued to down the small carton of milk. “Hmm… This is delicious!”
He tossed the empty milk carton in the trash bin as he walked past one, seeing the main gate to his school off in the distance. He was happy to see other students, chatting, laughing and looking around, all carrying their school bags or backpacks as they eagerly strolled towards the high school.
Just then, Shoto was overcome by a slight cramp in his stomach.
“Oh, great! My stomach hurts! Must be from feeling so nervous. I need to slow down…” he thought as he sat down at an empty bus stop. He took a deep breath, hoping for the sudden stomach cramp to go away.
It took about a minute for the cramps to subside. Then, he slowly got up and started walking, when he was overcome by a weird tingling sensation, which struck all over his body. It didn’t hurt, but it felt strange. It seemed to concentrate around his muscles, specifically his chest, his arms, and his legs. But, Shoto tried to ignore it and he continued to march towards the school. He was relieved when he made it to the large, steel gate.
Once inside, he just greeted any student who walked next to him or who approached him. He tried his best to smile, no matter how nervous he felt. He walked into the building and strolled up to the counter labeled “New Student Registration” where he stood in line. There, he waited for ten minutes, until he was helped by a nice lady who gave him his schedule of classes and who told him where to go to pick up his books.
From there, he strolled down the crowded hallway where he bumped into a few people. Finally, he spotted a boy from his old school.
“Hey, Shoto! How are you? Are you excited about our new school?” the boy asked.
“Hey, Yoshi! Yeah! Feeling a little nervous, though…”
“No worries, man! So, how have you been? You look great? Have you been working out in the gym?” the boy asked him.
Shoto gave him a confused look.
“The gym? Me?”
“Yeah, dude! You look awesome! Anyway, I gotta get my books! See ya in class!” Yoshi said as he turned around and walked off.
Shoto stood there, wondering what the boy was talking about.
He then continued to walk into the bookstore where he was suddenly stopped by a girl whom he had known from middle school as well.
“Shoto! I’m soooo happy to see you!” the girl cheered as she walked up to him. “We’re together in the same high school!”
“Hey, Yuna! Great to see you!” he said shyly, as always. Shoto was incredibly shy around girls.
“We’re gonna be in all the same classes, right? You got your schedule already? Let me see! Show me! And, who are your teachers? Tell me! So, what did you do over the vacation? Did you go anywhere? Ohh, my! Look at you, big boy! Ohh, we should go out some time, okay?” she rattled off in one breath.
“Uhh… What?” Shoto gasped.
“I didn’t know you were into bodybuilding! That is so cool, Shoto! You’re so sneaky! You never say anything and here you are, bulking up and you don’t say anything to anyone! You should at least tell me! Ha ha! Okay, see you in class, you HUNK!” Yuna laughed as she waved at him before she walked up, giggling and jumping away.
“Crazy girl…” Shoto mumbled. “What was she talking about?”
When Shoto got his three books and stuffed them in his bag, he walked out and strolled down the hallway. When he made a stop in the boy’s room, he saw his reflection in the large mirror for the first time that morning. Just then, it dawned on him that his clothes were getting a bit… Tight.
“Whoa!” he exclaimed as he saw his reflection.
His arms were thicker with muscle. His biceps were showing, where he had none before. His flat chest wasn’t flat anymore. He now had PECS! He had large, round orbs of muscle, constricting his t-shirt. His torso was wider, and his shoulders were much wider as well. And, his jeans were feeling very tight. His quads and calves had inflated with muscle as well. What was going on?
