Jimmy stood, taking in the spectacular explosion. It wasn't quite like the movies. More force and less flame. The blastwave rocked him onto his heels, and he stood for a second, overwhelmed.
He turned to Frank, who had dropped his extinguisher and was staring ahead, mouth gaping.
"Incredible." said Jimmy.
"A guy flew off. Did you see him? I think he landed on the track."
"No I was just....the explosion," he shook his head, "lost myself for a moment."
Frank looked back towards the road, scanning for the shape he had seen smouldering through the air.
Jimmy heard a faint whistling, growing slowly louder. He couldn't place it at first, looking around him. The he realised. It was straight up.
Both he and Frank turned their eyes in time to catch the black mass accelerating towards them.
The tyre left a smoke trail behind it.
"Oh crap," said Jimmy. A millisecond later the tyre bounced directly off his head.
