As the battle began Pikachu unleashed a volley of electricity towards the Smoochum. It responded by throwing up a light screen which deflected the attack.
"Pikachu, get in close!" Ash cried out. Pikachu began to charge at the Smoochum but abruptly stopped. "What are you doing? Pikachu?"
For whatever reason Pikachu would not move from his spot. He also seemed to be standing oddly, shifting his weight from one leg to the other. That's when Ash noticed that the Smoochum's eyes were glowing. Continuing to look at his opponent he could see a yellow spot appear on the Smoochum's diaper.
Ash had never seen a Pokemon wet their diaper right in the middle of a battle before. In fact, everything about this scenario seemed strange to him. He was about to give Pikachu another order order when he noticed a yellow puddle appear on the ground directly below Pikachu. More than that is was continuing to get larger.
Misty spoke out loud "Did Pikachu just, use the bathroom?"
Brock nodded. "Looks like it. Be careful Ash! Don't let that Smoochum catch you off guard!"
Pikachu took a step forward and slipped in the puddle of urine it had just produced. A second later it fell forward into the yellow fluid.
A beam of blue light erupted from the Smoochum and shot towards Pikachu, impacting on the ground right in front of him. At the time Pikachu was just pulling himself up and had all four of his feet on the floor when the puddle froze affixing him to the ground.
"Now use Confusion!" Still unable to move Pikachu had no way to defend himself and soon felt the effects of the Confusion attack. It's senses were quickly distorted and it fell over.
"Yay! I win!" Aurora called out.
Brock stepped foward. "Actually that's not really for you to decide. A proper Pokemon battle should have someone who can act as an impartial judge-"
"Is this really the time?" Misty cut him off.
"I'm a Gym Leader. It's my duty to ensure that the rules of the Pokemon League are followed."
Auruoa stuck her tongue out at Brock then pulled out a pokeball and ordered Smoochum to return. Alakazam then lifted the girl up into it's shoulder and teleported into the center of the arena.
The Alakazam's eye's glowed and the yellow ice holding Pikachu in place quickly melted. Then Pikachu was lifted off the ground where Alakazam grabbed him.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing?" Without thinking Ash ran out into the center of the field. As soon as he did so the Alakazam teleported directly in the trainer's path.
For a moment Ash thought the Alakazam may have just been returning Pikachu to him. Then he looked into the Alakazam's eyes and saw they were glowing purple. Ash felt a strange feeling wash over him.
