You went to the university to struggle with some classes, survived through your part time job as a store clerk and went back to your small dorm to get a couple of hours for yourself before the next day. You decided to just browse lazily through your social network sites until you found a piece of news that caught your attention.
The article described a very strange epidemic that recently hit a town in the other side of the country, known as expanditis and although researchers were still trying to find relevant information about it, it was noteworthy because the effects on the human body were so difficult to ignore.
The article described expanditis as an epidemic that caused the infected to mess up their metabolism in an apparently extreme way, causing them to gain weight way faster than non infected humans and also increasing their appetite to the point they were hungry pretty much all the time.
The video evidence in the article was quite shocking, displaying for example a couple in their twenties in a video filmed just a week ago in a park where they looked thin and healthy and the same couple now, looking like they gained more than 100 pounds already, with pronounced double chins, round bellies and also showing a different sort of look on their faces. They didn't seemed distressed about their weight change in the video, but they looked slightly anxious for some reasons, as if they were looking for something.
The article explained how the epidemic affected virtually everyone in the town and how due to their increased appetite they were having trouble after consuming the existing supplies, but the town also needed to be quarantined in order to contain whatever organic agent was causing this.
After reading the whole thing you couldn't help but search related information, as much as you could find about it, fully immersed in whatever expanditis related you could find. The reason was simple, it appealed to a fascination you have always had with quick body transformations and in particular with gaining weight. In real life you satiated your fetish with slightly related interests like big beautiful women, but for you this felt like a fantasy suddenly becoming reality, a fantasy that you wanted to experiment.
Beyond the news articles, what you wanted to find was a way to reach this town, could there be a way to volunteer in order to get there? could expanditis affect you? or should you wait and hope that whatever caused expanditis arrived closer to you? You had an interesting and restless night picturing yourself, and the people you knew, gaining more and more weight until you became as big as the people you saw in the article, and maybe even bigger than that, as dangerous as it could be.
