Sandra didn't need reminding of who she was. She could see it plain as day in her mirror. She looked more colorful and bright than any normal person. A living cartoon mirror of herself. Her hair looked perfect and her figure wasn't too exaggerated. Just an increase in her bust and hips with her lips just a tad bit bigger.
"Yeah...surprising I can still think like me," Sandra said, still wishing all of this was a dream of sorts.
"Indeed. From what we gather, this plague, or Toonmonia as we commonly call it, starts with changing the body's appearance and once the body has changed, the mind tends to go with it to match the person's newly exaggerated self. We call this the Inner Toon. There are at least 5 categories: normal toon, anime, superhero, Disney style, and animal toon." Dr. Banji said as she took down notes.
"But does that explain why my room morphed too?" Sandra asked, with her arms out wide to prove her point.
"We believe it may have something to do with the substance your body is now made of. This inky paint-like substance. We're deciding whether to call it toon ink or toon paint but that is a discussion for another day. Today is about your mental state. And the best way to ascertain that is through..." Dr. Banji said.
