Outbreak in Montana

"Any word from the CDC?" Dr. Evans asked.

"Not yet." Dr. White replied. "All but 6 of the counties are suffering outbreaks, so their stretched thin right now."

Dr. Aiden Evans and Dr. Lucy White, doctors working with the Billings Clinic, were referring to Clown Flu, a new disease that had sprung up in the last few months in Montana. Anyone infected with this new disease turned into a literal clown, with chalk-white skin, big noses and feet, bizarrly colored and styled hair, and a disrupted thought process that made them act silly all the time.

Despite it only being a few months, the disease had managed to spread rapidly, to the point that Montana had to be put under quarantine, and all but cut off from the rest of the United States. At the moment, the population was a near even split between uninfected and infected.

"Any more cases come up?" Aiden asked.

"Unfortunately, yes." Lucy replied. "Boulder's reporting a 10 percent increase in cases, and Deer Lodge County just reported it's first few cases."

"Damn it!" Aiden yelled. "We need to start working faster then! Did you bring the patient in? We need their blood sample."

"They're in the examination room." Lucy replied.

Aiden nodded, and went straight into the examination room. Inside was a young woman who was...
