Another colored beam hits Ken

    by: Anonymous Author IconMail Icon
Justin cringes as the lights start again, just blue now.

Ken yelps when the beam hits him this time, and groans when the beam begins its work.

"Ken?" Justin asks, "You alright?"

Ken winces, "I-I, dOn't knOw." he murmurs, his voice pinching and breaking, "It feels weird, I doN't know how to dEsribe it." before he gasps and freezes.

"Ken!" Justin bursts as he rushes over just in time to break the boy's fall as he keels over, unresponsive. Justin gently lowers Ken down and watches as Ken seemingly... ages?! He watched in awe as the 11 year old grew and matured to what looked like a well-developed 14! Or maybe 15? Or even 16? It was hard to tell when the kid was already 6'8" and built like an amateur bodybuilder and now 7'3" and more muscled! Ken groaned and opened his eyes.

"The heck?" he muttered in a much lower voice, "Whaa?" he said while looking at his body, still crammed into the clothes he came in, which looked ready to bust open at the seams.

Justin just gives a bewildered shrug, "Don't know. The blue beam got you and now you look 4-5 years older, 5 inches taller and more jacked. This is crazy."

Ken looked astonished, "16, I think." he said dumbly, "If my dates are right, physically, I would have turned 16 three months ago. I've got all this stuff in my head now that is aligned to some sort of timeline. I've got everything scholarly up to Gr. 10 in here now." he said, gesturing to his head, "I may be wrong though" he adds.

"Wow." Justin breathes, "If these beams can do that, what else can they do?"

Ken shakes his head angrily, "I don't know, and I honestly don't want to find out. That's five years I've missed out on that I may not get back, I don't want to get zapped with whatever else they've got. Let's try and get out of here before they do more."

Justin nods sadly, sad that the guy who looked so excited to be big just moments ago looked like he wanted to hurt to someone now.

They both stiffen as the lights begin to glow.

"Oh fuck no!" Ken shouts, "Not again!"
