Sonic was worried over Charmy as he knew the collars allowed the voice to control their bodies but to completely change them was concerning on a whole other level, he wanted to get away from the situation but he couldn’t leave a friend behind as he had to figure out how Charmy was going through these changes so someone like Tails could figure out how to reverse them. “I’ll keep you two company but I’m not into tea or dresses.” Sonic figured the tea was likely a major culprit in the Charmy situation so he wasn’t going to allow himself to fall for the same trap but even if the dress was actual dress up like one of Cream’s games she played while she was still a child he still would’ve rejected it as while he liked making Cream happy he had a sense of pride that would’ve been destroyed by that dress. Cream was confused by Sonic’s statement as she could’ve sworn he drank tea with Amy on a few occasions when she prepared meals for him but shrugged it off as he may have faked it in order to make Amy happy (after all of she got angry or upset the hammer came out) or she simply misremembered those instances, “Well that’s alright you can still sit down and join us.”
