This choice: Riku, being the rival and best friend that he is • Go Back... Sora walked along the beach, the tide wrapping around his feet, making his feet feel so refreshed after a long day(even though it was mostly spent sleeping).
"Where could they be? I haven't seen them in awhile... Did they go somewhere without me?" Sora hadn't seen his friends at all that day and was starting to get a little worried. Suddenly, as if summoned, Riku casually strode alongside Sora, matching his pace.
"So, where have you been?" Sora asked, trying to contain his surprise.
"Y'know, around..." Riku kept his head facing forward. "You were sleeping, so we let you rest. I hope you don't take it personally."
"Oh, I, uh... Yeah, that's alright. Anyway, what do you want to do Riku? I've been so bored ever since I woke up."
Riku smirked. "That's right, you ALWAYS have a lot of energy after you sleep. Alright, I can think of a few things we can do. Foot-racing, practice fighting, relaxing... Although you've done plenty of that already." He laughed again.
"Well, I like racing, let's do that! First one to the tree and back gets to do something to the other person!"
Riku sighed. Whenever Sora liked an idea, he'd go through with it, no matter what anyone else said. "Fine..." He relented, "But what do I have to do for you if you win?"
Sora thought for a moment. He was a pretty lazy kid. He could have Riku do tons of things for him if he won... Suddenly, he had an idea. "You can do my laundry for a week if I win!" He grinned widely, satisfied with his choice.
"Fine." Riku accepted, he knew he wasn't going to lose but he didn't want to make that obvious to Sora. "And if I win, I get to give you a wedgie."
"A wha-?" Sora looked confused. "What?"
"A wedgie. You've never heard of one?" Riku's eyebrows creased in confusion and amazement. "Really?"
Sora shook his head. "No, it doesn't sound familiar. But it doesn't matter. I'll win!" Sora dragged his foot in the sand, marking a starting line. "First one to that tree and back over the line wins ok? One, two...."
"Three!" They both took off towards the tree. Riku had longer legs than Sora and easily beat him to the tree. When the race was over, Riku had beaten Sora by about half the distance of the track.
"Aw darn it! You won." Sora was a little grouchy about it. "What do you want me to do now?"
Riku thought for a moment and shrugged. "Turn around."
Sora didn't understand yet, but complied. "What now, Riku?"  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
