As she held the cup of wine, her gaze lingered on the chests of the Unsullied. Kal Drogo had made her feel like a woman for the first time in her life, but since his death that feeling had faded fast. Now even these men stood before her were more beautiful, more feminine than her. The words of Mirii Maz Duur still haunted her. 'When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will return, and not before.' She had yet to face the possibility that she was barren, but if this wine could make women out of boy slaves perhaps it could make her fertile again.
She brought the cup to her lips, but just as she was about to drink she saw Jorah Mormont watching her expectantly, hungrily. She giggled to herself. The old bear expects my breasts to explode free at the first taste of the elixir, she thought in amusement. A devilish thought occurred to her. "Won't you try some too, Ser Jorah?" she asked coyly. His eyes widened in horror. "I hardly think you'll become a woman from just a drink," she laughed. "Right?"
The translator nodded. "The wine only transforms eunuchs, and only over many months of drinking it each day. There are myths of it changing uncut men into women but, even if such tales are true, such potent magic hasn't existed for a thousand years."
The Queen pushed the cup into her knight's hands. "See? You have nothing to worry about. Besides, I'd like to see you with soft skin," she laughed lightly, running her fingers over the coarse stubble of his jaw.
"As my Queen commands," he gulped, the slightest touch enough to break his resolve.
