When Luther was first offered a chance to complete his residency at the Black Lilly Ranch he knew he was stepping into the unknown. The ranch it self was a mystery, the only detail Luther knew about it was that it was owned by a large company and that it was currently sponsoring men and women from the Interspecies Exchange Agency, offering lodging and income to those who were willing to work.
Luther was one of the few humans to except a position at the ranch, but He only did so to complete his residency. For the next four years Blck Lily Ranch would be his home.
“So this is it?” Luther asked as he stepped out of the front seat of Ms. Smiths car and stare up at the large two story building. “Yes it is. Welcome to the Ranch Mr. Barn” Ms. Smith, the Interspecies coordinator proclaimed as the stepped out of the drivers side and began to walk towards the building.
“Now follow me please. I need to introduce you to the Ranch’s Manager before I’m late for next appointment” Luther followed after the government agent as best he could, making sure his bag was secured over his shoulder.
Once inside the tall structure, Luther had thought he had shrunk a foot or so, because everything around him seemed larger and taller than most places. The furniture was bigger and more accommodating ti those of a larger stature, along with the doors and door frames. Following Ms. Smith through the complex made Luther feel as if he were a child being guided into his first day of school by his mother, but thankfully this wasn’t the case.
Gradually, Ms. Smith lead Luther through the complex u til the stepped before a door that had the Ranch Mangers named engraved on it.
Ms. Smith knocks on the door and calls out the Mangers name…
