Conciseness returns to you once again, and after a short time, you remember all that has been happening to you. You try to lay as still as possible as you expect your body to start feeling the effects from your injuries yet again. No pain comes though, and trying to move to move your limbs slowly, you only find a hint of stiffness in your joints. The air feels warm and humid, but only somewhat uncomfortably so. Slowly opening your eyes, you find yourself in a room nearly as different from the first as could be: while the first was Spartan and definably favored function over form, the current room is much more lavish with what appears to be pieces of art scattered about. The bed you are laying on is much more impressive as well, rather than just a thin padded mat shoved in a wall alcove, this one is closer to your standard definition of a bed, spreading across many square feet, and covered in shimmering sheets that almost look like silk, but feeling like nothing you have ever touched before, so light and airy that it was like you weren’t touching anything at all.

Shifting around to the edge of the bed, you make another discovery: the wall across the room from the end of the bed is one huge unbroken and curving window allowing a view of space beyond. Stepping up to the window cautiously, you are treated to a wondrous sight: Jupiter and its moons drifting slowly to one side as the ship you are on travels out of the solar system. The window looks very thin, certainly thinner than you would think a spaceship would have – though considering that you seem to be dealing with aliens, it isn’t all hard to grasp – and grants you an incredible view, almost looking like you could reach out and touch the stellar bodies passing by. As the icy surface of Europa slips past, you think to yourself that you might be the first human to ever travel out here and see these things with your naked eye. Though if some of the alien conspiracy theorists are to be believed, some people might have beaten you out here, and they don’t seem so crazy anymore.

As the ship continues its journey, the sunward side of Jupiter is replaced with a view of the dark side, flashes of lightning just visible within the cloud layers of the giant world. Turning away from the fleeting lightshow, you turn your attention back to your current situation. You spy several doors around the room as well, but these turn out to be similar to the one from before, with no obvious means of opening them, just that slightly recessed panel that doesn’t respond to your touch. Finding no release there, you instead decide to check out some of the pieces of art, if only keep yourself busy. You can recognize some of them as maybe paintings or sculptures, but others escape your understanding, perhaps too alien for you to grasp. Feeling a bit too warm now, you pull off your coat, draping it over an arm. Before you can inspect any one piece in any great detail, one of the doors quietly whooshes open. You jump a bit in surprise, before settling down. Standing just on the threshold is an alien, you are almost sure of it, though it isn’t a little gray or green man, it looks like a humanoid fox, two legs, two arms, standing upright, fur, tail, the whole shebang. As you look closer, you realize that it might be a vixen, rather than a tod, if the somewhat prominent breasts correspond to her species the same way as it does in humans.

Stepping just inside the door, it quietly shuts behind her, seemingly without a touch or command given. She stands there, quietly waiting on you. As the initial shock wears off, you realize that this vixen might be the smaller of your two abductors, her stance and basic shape and height are the same, and her loose fighting uniform-like clothing has nearly identical marks as the armor worn by that one as well. What fur you can see is bright red, almost unnaturally so, but with smaller patches of white on her muzzle, hands, and tip of her tail. After a bit of this, she seems to be getting a bit impatient, singling this with a sharp huff and snap of her jaws. Deciding it might be best to not anger her any further – she could just dump you out an airlock or something after all – you move closer, not quite sure what she wants from you. This seems to be the right move though, as she spins on her heel and touches that recessed panel on the door, it responds to her touch, opening the door with the same almost complete lack of noise. Checking to make sure you are behind her, she steps out of the door, waits for you to step out, and then sets off down a hallway outside. While walking with your “guide”, you come across several other windows, smaller than the huge wraparound one from before, but granting you other views as these seemed to be on the side of the ship, rather than facing forwards. The shock is still a bit much for you, only numbly following the vixen ahead to wherever she is taking you. As you walked along, you spared a brief thought about the oddity that what almost certainly was alien looked like an awful lot like an anthropomorphic fox.

After walking for a while, the fox leads you to another room, seemingly overlooking the rear of the ship. Another huge wraparound window dominates the far wall, affording you a view back towards Jupiter. You also see a slight glow below the curve of the rear of the ship, perhaps that’s the engines or thrusters or whatever is propelling the craft. You then turn your attention back to the room and see what is most likely your “host”.

You have the following choices:

1. She is a dragoness.

*Pen*
2. He is a wolf.

3. Your host is something else.

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
