The spell backfired and Eric went into a deep t...

Eric finished getting through the latin words.

"And....go!" he cried to himself, expecting it to work.

From what he figured, the spell was supposed to put the target into a deep trance. Figured his mother would make for a good test of that. After speaking the words, he expected it to work.

However, after a second, his mom was still normal, perplexing him.

"Huh? Did I...get it....wrong.....?" he said, his speech suddenly slurring. It was only a split second before his mind went blank that he realized something was wrong.

Maybe he got the words wrong, or perhaps the incorrect spell. Either way, it seemed to be working on HIM instead of on his mom, leaving him in a deep trance without much way of getting out on his own as far as he knew.

After a second, Natalie noticed Eric.
